Andreas Oetker-Kast is a German freelance photographer based in Kiel, whose work focuses on documentary and narrative photography exploring identity, culture, and history. With a background in sociology and public relations in Germany and the USA, he turned to professional photography in 2004, concentrating on music and documentary projects.
His work has been exhibited in Germany and internationally since 2006 and published in books and catalogs. He is one of the resident photographers of Fotografia. His photobook Tamar, Where Are You? is a collaborative project inspired by Queen Tamar and explores Georgia’s cultural identity through contemporary visual storytelling.
