Mano Svanidze is a Georgian photographer and visual storyteller based in Brussels. She is a member of the Women Photograph and Diversify Photo, and a co-founder of the Georgian Photo Collective 90’x Collective.
Her work explores identity, marginalization, and invisible social struggles through long-term documentary projects. Mano’s photographs have been exhibited internationally and published in various media outlets. She received the Equality Award (2019) for her project on transgender women in Georgia, was selected among the 30 Best Women Photographers Under 30 (2020), and named one of PHmuseum’s 12 Photographers to Watch (2021). She is also a finalist of the EU Prize for Journalism in the Documentary Photo category.
Alongside photography, Mano is a pianist in the music duo anomano, which reimagines opera by bringing performances into everyday spaces and adapting Georgian songs into contemporary operatic forms.
