Anka Gujabidze is a Georgian visual artist based in Tbilisi. She worked as a professional photographer for over a decade before recently shifting toward filmmaking, with a practice spanning documentary, conceptual, and portrait photography.
She holds an MA in Photography from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK), Ghent, Belgium, and a BA in Animation from the Theatre and Film University in Tbilisi. Her work has been exhibited in Georgia and internationally and published in several international anthologies.
Her recent project Temo Re (2024) uses black-and-white photo montage, while earlier works include Death to Mosquitoes During Summer Days (2019), You Got It Today (2020), Bianka (2015), and What the Hell Brought You Here? (2013), addressing themes of identity, isolation, and post-Soviet social realities.
