Preface

Photography is a very profound and delicate art form of expression. Objective and at the same time, deeply subjective and abstract, with the power that stirs a myriad of thought and emotion. The mode of its narration is silent, but multifaceted and infinite.

This kind and goodhearted photo album was first printed in 2005 and was dedicated to the living memory of Zurab Jhvania. 13 years hence, we decided to re-publish the Javakheti album. Some photos are from the old album, but most are new. The mystic face and solitude of Javakheti have not changed. We want to dedicate the book again to Zurab Jhvania, to his love of this region, to his love for the whole of Georgia, especially to his ability to see the labors of Saint Nino.
