Giorgi Tsagareli was born in Tbilisi in 1947. He thought he would never take a camera in his hands until the age of 32.
He got technical education and worked as an engineer for a few years, when his first child was born and he started taking his photos with his old soviet SLR.
After he realized that taking pictures of his family did not satisfy him anymore, he chose press-photography as his future profession and for the next 25 years was occupied only with photojournalism.
The big changes in his photographic career were the changes that brought the Soviet Union to the collapse.
