Adrian Scoffham – Born in London, April 1978. he grew up in Stevenage, Hertfordshire where he developed an interest in the built environment, foreign languages and travel. He studied at Aston University, Birmingham and then moved to the Eastern Germany | Poland border region, following this he lived in Berlin and London followed by Tirol in the Austrian Alps. Finally, he moved to Tbilisi, Georgia which has been my locale since 2013.

The photos he shoots are about making the most of available light as possible. He’s particularly interested in taking photos that show what the viewer could have seen if they were in that location at the time the photo was taken – He likes to keep it real and natural because this is the truest expression of using a camera to document moments in time with as few distractions from the subject as possible.

“Tbilisi is quite unique in the amount of semi-public shared spaces that can be discovered, a phenomenon that is now rare to find in other cities. More often than not the inhabitants are welcoming, sometimes guests are offered coffee or wine. As gentrification encroaches on what are often dilapidated quarters whilst the architecture may be saved the underlying culture doesn’t survive – these photos serve to memorialise these spaces.”
