Description
Short Description: Georgia – Double Pages is a 240-page black-and-white photography album by legendary Georgian photographer Yuri Mechitov, showcasing 226 photographs captured over the span of 38 years. Each page presents a thoughtfully paired double composition – images connected by theme, meaning, or visual rhythm – offering a poetic documentary of Georgia’s people, streets, and social landscape.
Mechitov blends portraiture, street scenes, and social commentary, creating a visual narrative that spans decades of Georgian life. From well-known public figures to anonymous passersby, each subject contributes to a mosaic of memory and meaning. The book is trilingual, with captions in Georgian, English, and Russian, making it accessible to a wide international audience.
